SMV Recruiting is currently looking for Maintenance Mechanics to work for our client in the Pulaski, NY area. This client is seeking multi skilled mechanics to work on equipment and repairs around the facility including electrical, plumbing, HVAC etc. This is a union position with full benefits, it is also a direct hire role, the ability to work over time, opportunities for growth and competitive pay!

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment and other equipment around the facility




• Install, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis and repair on mechanical, pneumatic, electrical components of production equipment




• Complete filter changes, plumbing, carpentry, painting and other tasks as assigned




• Collaborate with a team of skilled technicians to enhance the overall maintenance process




• Identify and implement improvements to increase equipment efficiency and minimize downtime




• Comply with safety guidelines and OHSA regulations to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience for the entry-level mechanic position




• Trade school or relevant certifications in OSHA, mechanical or electrical fields are preferred




• Prior experience working in the manufacturing/industrial industry specifically in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing is preferred




• Fork truck certified is strongly preferred
