JOBSUMMARY:Responsible for trash removal from kitchen areas and heavy cleaning functions. Will clean all high areas in the kitchens and outdoor stewarding functions. Provides general assistance to other stewarding employees as needed (and time permitting) in their duties to ensure all food preparation areas are maintained to set standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cleans, sweeps, vacuums, mops and restocks a designated area. Dusts both high and low areas. Wipes down various surfaces. Sweets, mops, scrubs, strips, extract, waxes, buffs, vacuums, etc. all types of floors. Spot cleans all walls and other wall coverings. Wash and polish cigarette urns daily. Uses appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for each task. Cleans all vending machine areas and linen closets. Cleans all fire escapes daily. Pick up and throw down the proper chute all linen and trash from attendant carts. Complete other related tasks as assigned by Housekeeping management. Must be available for scheduled work. Must exhibit the Family Style Service model at all times. QUALIFICATIONS: Work requires a neat appearance with good personal hygiene. PHYSICAL,MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended periods of time. Ability to lift approximately 30 - 35 pounds repeatedly. Ability to perform reaching, stooping, stretching, crouching, and twisting motions repeatedly. Ability to push approximately 300 - 350 pounds. Visual capabilities needed to inspect their own work upon completion. Ability to climb up and work from ladders.
