This position is responsible for the oversight of the Waterfront Dockmasters, general operations of the two municipal marinas and surrounding grounds/parks. This position will have expectations of financial accountability and creating and maintaining efficient work plans. Union Affiliation: Non-Union Pay Grade: $18.84 - $20.00 Hourly Assist the Assistant Waterfront Manager in scheduling Dockmasters for appropriate shifts and ensuring proper coverage Training the Dockmasters at the beginning of the season, and throughout as necessary on correct operations and protocols Perform daily cash-outs and follow proper money management Oversight of adequate stocking all facilities with necessary paper and chemical products, updating OSHA records as necessary Assigning routine maintenance and cleaning of all facilities Maintenance and care of the two work vessels Supervision of Burlington Harbor, inclusive of the transient and seasonal moorings Accepting and processing transient dockage and mooring fees Processing other POS operations (Pump outs, Hourly) Track and assign light maintenance of Waterfront facilities, including but not limited to: Painting, scraping, graffiti removal, spider web removal Evaluate the docking systems, including but not limited to: Bumper repair, cleat repair, daily assessment and daily cleaning Trash Removal: Boathouse, Perkins Pier, Waterfront Park, Special Events, Lake Street, Fishing Pier, Skate park and other parks at request Oversight of Park Landscaping: Mowing, trimming, debris removal of select Waterfront areas Special Event assistance as needed Informs patrons of park and harbor rules and regulations Performs other such duties as may be assigned by the Marina Manager Position may require the operation of City vehicles and/or personal vehicles in order to conduct City business. Valid Driver's License Operation of a City vehicle or personal vehicle to conduct City business without providing proof of a valid driver's license to Human Resources will not be permitted. A valid driver's license shall be defined as a current state of residence-issued license to operate a motor vehicle on public roadways.
